For the past five years the automotive industry charity BEN, in conjunction with Car Dealer has held a Bangers4BEN event now known as the Big BEN Rally. The event will travel down to Barcelona, Spain from Saturday October 13 until Tuesday October 16, supporting not only BEN but two other charities in Barcelona.

Each team that enters will be required to purchase a car for no more than £500 and decorate this to their design, drive to Barcelona and back to sell the car at auction. All funds raised will be donated to BEN. This year the winner will be the team who raises the most money from the sale of their car at the auction after the purchase price has been deducted.

An added dimension to this year's Big BEN Rally and in aid of the fantastic work that St Georges Church does for Shoebox Charity and Sabadell Donations, the participants will be making a pit stop to St Georges Church to drop off donated supplies that were part of the challenge to collect prior to departure.

Car Dealer Magazine's Editor James Baggott said, "Since Bangers4BEN began four years ago, it was never our intention for the event to become repetitive. That's why this year we have decided to support two more charities and, thanks to some helpful feedback, change the name of the event. This year promises to be the most successful year ever."

Kelly Neal, BEN's Events Manager commented, "The Big BEN Rally is an event not to be missed, not only do you get to see some amazing sites, make some great friends and contacts, you are raising vital funds for BEN and our industry colleagues and dependants in times of need. Hope to see you on the trip."
