BURGLARS broke into a Yeovil motor showroom and took four cars.
The raid happened at Wyvern Motor Company in Ilchester Road overnight between Saturday and Sunday.
Two other cars were tampered with and cash was stolen from a till.
Police say the stolen cars, a Citroen C5, a VW Golf, a Saab 9-3 and a Peugeot 206, were later found in residential streets nearby in the Westfield area.
Paul Russell, the garage owner, said he discovered the break-in.
He said: "I came into work on Sunday, which is actually when we're closed, and found the place in a mess.
"It has been a huge problem. We've not had anything like this happen to us before so it a bit of a shocker.
"We have managed to get the cars back and they were not damaged which is a relief but we're left with a bit of a headache as to how this was able to happen.
"We're now working with the police where we can."
Police said the garage was struck between 5pm on Saturday, September 15, and 8.30am on Sunday, September 16.
The garage workshop at the rear of the building was broken into before four cars were driven off the forecourt and onto Ilchester Road.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident.
Two men aged 23 and 21 have been arrested on suspicion of burglary and theft and bailed.
A police spokesman said: "Investigations are continuing.
"We ask any members of the public who may have witnessed the incident or seen anything suspicious to come forward."
Anyone with information, is asked to contact Yeovil police on 101.
