Is badger to blame for ground mess?

EFFORTS to keep Crewkerne's recreation areas clear of mess have taken a positive step forward amid suggestions that dogs may not be the culprits.

Complaints have been rumbling that dog owners fail to clear up after their animals, particularly on Henhayes Recreation Ground.

But the mess could now be collected and analysed to see if it is actually from a badger or a fox.

Anyone with any knowledge of badgers knows they use communal latrine pits, not scattered randomly around. Also I would ask anyone to review any video that shows badgers being on hard surfaces (patio) and they will see badgers have very good control of their bladder also. This is just another thinly vieled anti-badger story. But do lets have those results - which are more likely to be felis catus.

Hope they remember to check it for zTB. If it is badger faeces better take some grass/soil samples to check for infected urine also.
