Yeovil Town have not enquired about the services of Swindon Town attacker Andy Williams, contrary to reports emerging this lunchtime.
The Glovers have been linked with a move for their former forward, who left for the Sky Bet League One club in the summer of 2012, having scored 17 goals in 39 appearances to help stave off relegation.
However, the Huish Park outfit have confirmed to the Western Gazette that the reports are wide of the mark. Yeovil have not approached Swindon and talks have not taken place.
Williams, 27, netted ten times in his opening campaign at The County Ground, including the opener in last November’s 4-1 victory over Yeovil.
He has scored once from four outings in August, sinking Torquay United with the only goal in their Capital One Cup clash.
