WINTER woollies and festive lanterns filled Langport town centre for the Christmas light switch-on last week.
Locals gathered in the shopping precinct to see Ben McGrail, of BBC Somerset, switch on the fairy lights in the town's trees.
Children and adults enjoyed carol singing with lanterns while also sampling a street food market organised by Minno Kitchen.
After the town was lit up residents were able to enjoy food from Mango Thai and Pizzarova's landrover pizza oven.
Refreshments were also provided by Ham Hill Cider and Lucille's Caravan.
Many of the town's shops and eateries were also open for Christmas shoppers to enjoy and they will be open late again tonight and on Thursday next week.
