Vandals kicked down the gate of a Sherborne coffee house

A SHERBORNE coffee house has repaired damage to its back gate which, it is claimed, was kicked down by "mindless vandals" on Sunday night.

Jane Wood, owner of Oliver's Coffee House, on Cheap Street, discovered the damage on Monday morning.

It is claimed it was caused by a group of young people who had gathered in the Co-op courtyard that evening.

Sgt Rachel Goodwin, of Sherborne Police, said: "The damage to the gate was minor; there are no further lines of inquiry."
