A DISASTROUS opening 15 minutes proved the catalyst for Sherborne Town's exit from the FA Vase at the hands of St Blazey.

The visitors to Raleigh Grove broke the deadlock with just minutes on the clock before key defender Nick Jacobs was shown the first red card of his career after quarter of an hour for a foul as the last defender.

Striker Marc Caines restored parity but St Blazey of the South West Peninsula League went on to break home hearts by netting a further three.

Defeated boss Jamie Manley said: "It's frustrating because they're not three goals better than us. We could have gone further in the competition but we came up short."
