POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a burglary at a Somerton business.

The burglary occurred at Lee Holmes Garden Machinery at the business park on Bancombe Road between 8.15pm and 8.35pm on October 13.

Three men were seen in a light-coloured van, similar to a Citroen Berlingo or Renault Kangoo, forcing entry into the building.

They stole garden machinery including new model strimmers, chainsaws and blowers.

Multi-attachment tools, branded either Stihl or Gardencare, were also taken along with some second-hand chain saws.

Anyone who witnessed the burglary, knows who is responsible or has been offered garden machinery for sale in suspicious circumstances, is asked to contact police on 101.
