A DAZZLING array of Christmas trees have lit up the church in Ilminster town centre this week.

Fifty trees have been individually decorated and put on display in the Minster Church.

The festive exhibition was launched on Monday but there is still time to enjoy the seasonal show, before it ends at 4pm on Saturday.

The tinsel-bound trees were opened to the public during an official ceremony attended by the mayor of Ilminster Emma Jane Taylor, town crier Andrew Fox, the reverend of the Minster Nigel Done as well as an excited group of children from Greenfylde and Swanmead schools.

The Christmas tree festival has proved popular since it was launched in 2007 by former councillor John Robson.
